For attorneys
Well-researched files. Clean role separation.
Halos Over Houses is a research and intake company. We are not a law firm and we do not compete with attorneys. Our work product is the evidence packet — yours is the legal judgment. Here is exactly what that division looks like.
What Halos does
- Research the public record and produce a documented evidence packet
- Conduct a soft, plain-language claimant intake conversation (no sensitive identifiers)
- Route the file to a licensed attorney for review and engagement decision
- Provide ongoing research support when the attorney engages the client
- Operate from a written compliance standard
What Halos never does
- Represent clients ourselves
- Appear in court
- Solicit attorney–client relationships on behalf of any specific attorney
- Hold client funds
- Sign engagement letters with claimants on behalf of an attorney
- Share sensitive client data without written consent
- Promise outcomes

Working together
What a partnership actually looks like.
You set the criteria
States, counties, claim types, minimum thresholds. We respect your scope.
You make the call
Every file is yours to accept or decline. You decide engagement terms with the claimant.
Written arrangement
Fee arrangements follow applicable bar rules in your jurisdiction. We operate as a fee-paid research vendor, not a fee-share partner, unless explicitly permitted and documented.
What attorneys say
From the lawyers reviewing our files.
“I got a letter saying I might have money from my old house. I almost threw it away. Halos walked me through everything, sent the file to a real attorney before they even called me, and never asked for my social or bank info. Months later, the check came through the attorney's office.”
“What I appreciate is the boundary. I'm the attorney, they're the researchers. The evidence packets are clean, the chain of title is documented, and they don't push timelines. That's rare in this space.”
“My mother passed and we didn't know there was surplus from the tax sale. The team explained heir documentation in plain language and never made us feel rushed.”
